About the role as Head of Finance
As Head of Finance, you support the business through proactive planning, controlling and performance analysis, and you support the management team in the key decisions needed to reach our strategic goals. You own financial management and drive Plan-to-Perform across the business area, from initial cost estimation to final profit recognition, and from project and site level up to aggregated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
You work both strategically and operationally, turning information into insight that guides decisions and actions. You take ownership of internal control over financial reporting and help set the standard for how the finance function works in a business area that is still taking shape.
You report to the Head of Business Area, and are a key member of the GIT management team.
Responsibilities
- Enable decision-making by providing the Head of Business Area and the management team with relevant, accurate information on business performance
- Contribute to the BA strategy and business plan, safeguarding the financial perspective throughout
- Ensure effective financial reporting within the BA and to the Group, setting requirements on processes and IT systems
- Drive performance analysis through KPIs and follow-up on decisions made by management
- Take responsibility for internal control over financial reporting and coordinate the internal control process across functions
- Own and develop the ways of working in the BA controlling function
- Coach, train and develop the controllers in the business area into a high-performing team
- Promote and take part in the development of NCC Finance, including strategic finance initiatives

- Extensive knowledge of business performance reporting and analysis, financial steering, project/production controlling and process development
- First-class business understanding combined with broad, industry-specific financial competence
- Fluency in English and one Nordic language, written and spoken
It is an advantage if you also bring experience from a startup or early-stage business, and/or from a company operating in a fluctuating market. Above all, you build both structure and trust in a growing organisation.
