The role and key responsibilities

Purchasing is a top priority at NCC and plays a vital role in winning and delivering profitable projects. We are now looking for a driven and business-minded Product Owner to lead the continued development of our purchasing tools and digital solutions, working closely with users, stakeholders and IT. We are in an exciting phase where we are re-evaluating and replacing our current tools, and you will play a key role in shaping what the future purchasing toolscape at NCC looks like – including how emerging technologies can create new value. You will also play a key role in the larger Digitalization team, contributing to team strategy and helping drive NCC's digital development agenda.

As a Product Owner, you take full ownership of our purchasing tools and are responsible for maximizing the value they deliver to the business. You set the direction and roadmap, prioritize the backlog, and work closely with our Digitalization specialists, development team and IT Service Owner to ensure the tools meet both user needs and enterprise requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap: Define a clear direction for your tool(s), aligned with NCC's purchasing strategy and priorities.
  • Manage the backlog: Capture, prioritize and refine needs from stakeholders and users, ensuring the team focuses on the initiatives that creates the greatest value.
  • Drive stakeholder collaboration: Build strong, transparent relationships with business stakeholders, users and IT, and represent their needs in product decisions.
  • Lead delivery together with the team: Collaborate on execution, review and accept completed work, and ensure solutions meet quality and business requirements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle: Monitor performance, costs and service levels, and continuously identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate and optimize ongoing agile work within the team to ensure good collaboration and high quality of work.
  • Ensure initiatives have clear objectives, expected outcomes and success metrics.
  • Monitor product KPIs and use insights to guide prioritization and roadmap decisions.
  • Coordinate across teams: Work with other Product Owners to manage dependencies and ensure a coherent tools landscape across purchasing.
