In Sweden, NCC has gone a step further than REACH with the application of BASTA, an industry cooperation that aims to ensure that all substances that are particularly hazardous are eliminated from the construction process. In Denmark, NCC uses the national chemicals database, Norway and Finland have lists of chemicals to be eliminated, and in Germany, the company works in accordance with national legislation.
