NCC develops and constructs housing units whose energy consumption is lower than the norm in each market.
Since 2008, NCC has issued climate declarations for all proprietary housing projects in Sweden and Denmark.
NCC is also the Nordic construction company that has the most experience of “passive buildings” – buildings that do not need added energy for heating.
In a residential area in Stockholm, NCC tested the ”Energy clock”. It´s function is to visualize the energy usage for the persons living in the apartment – and thus – changing their behaviour towards lower energy consumption.
To further reduce energy consumption after NCC has handed over the housing unit to the end customer, the company trains the purchaser in energy savings that can be achieved at home.
