NCC is the first company to offer Green tenders
NCC is the first in the construction and property sector to supplement all large bids with green tenders.
"We want to accelerate the conversion of the construction industry by offering our customers green bids along with the regular tender. We hope that many customers choose to invest in more environmentally friendly projects when given the opportunity to choose a green alternative", says Tomas Carlsson, President of NCC Construction Sweden.
Climate-neutral tenders
The green tenders are climate-neutral by offering the customers projects with climate declarations, carbon offsetting and a greener workplace.
”There is a lot of development work behind this commitment. Climate declarations, which are so far only available for residential and office buildings, are now being developed for all types of projects”, says Tomas Carlsson.
NCC has also decided to always use so-called green construction, which means that workplaces always use energy-saving equipment and building huts.
Carbon offsetting is achieved primarily through supporting climate projects that are approved by the UN and EU.
