NCC acquires its current head office in Solna - NCC is acquiring the properties Startboxen 1 and Sadelplatsen 2 in the City of Solna for a purchase consideration of SEK 415 million. The seller is Morgan Stanley P2 Value fund and takeover will occur on December 7, 2011. Startboxen 1 comprises 23,500 square meters of office space and the parking garage Sadelplatsen 2 consists of 750 parking spaces.

NCC sells office building in Copenhagen for SEK 240 million - NCC Property Development has sold an office building in central Copenhagen for approximately SEK 240 million. The buyer is PKA (Pensionskassernes Administration A/S), which will be taking over the property on completion.

New head of NCC Construction Finland - Harri Savolainen has been appointed new Business Area President of NCC Construction Finland, effective February 1, 2012. He will also be a member of Group Management and will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Wågström. The current President of NCC Construction Finland, Timo U. Korhonen, will be retiring.

NCC to build housing in Finland for SEK 460 million - NCC Construction Finland has been commissioned to construct a total of 263 housing units at Jätkäsaari in Helsinki. The client is the City of Helsinki Residential Production Department (ATT). The order is valued at approximately SEK 460 million and will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2011.

NCC enters into new agreement to acquire Destia’s asphalt operation - Last week, the Finnish Market Court approved NCC’s acquisition of Destia’s asphalt operation subject to certain conditions. NCC has now analyzed the conditions and choose not to complete the agreement by March 2011 but instead use a new agreement with Destia, since it had become clear that the Market Court’s conditions were partly not under NCC’s control. The new agreement will be examined by the Finnish Competition Authority, which is expected to complete its inquiry before year-end.

NCC to construct road and tunnel in Norway for SEK 440 million - NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned to build a road tunnel stretching approximately 2.5 kilometers in the Hordaland region, located southeast of Bergen in Norway. The assignment also includes the construction of 3.6 kilometers of road, a footpath and bicycle path, bridges and water, sewer, electricity and phone systems. The order is valued at approximately SEK 440 million and will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2011.

NCC’s acquisition of Destia’s asphalt operations approved subject to conditions - The Finnish Market Court has approved NCC’s acquisition of Destia’s asphalt operations subject to certain conditions. NCC will now analyze the conditions while also awaiting the position taken by the Finnish Competition Authority concerning a possible appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court, before the transaction can be finalized.

Conversion of shares in NCC AB - In accordance with NCC’s Articles of Association, owners of Series A shares are entitled to request that their shares be converted to Series B shares. As a result of such conversion, the total number of voting rights in the company is reduced. In connection with conversion, the company is obligated, pursuant to the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act (1991:980), to disclose details of the change in this manner.

NCC to construct campus for Örebro County Council - NCC Construction Sweden has been commissioned to construct teaching and research premises adjacent to Örebro University Hospital. The premises will be used for Örebro University’s medical training and Örebro University Hospital’s research department. The project will be conducted on a partnering basis with Örebro County Council. The order is valued at about SEK 250 million and will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2011.

NCC to construct data center for Facebook - NCC Construction Sweden has secured an order from Facebook to construct a data center in Luleå. The contract has been signed with Pinnacle Sweden AB. The total order value is approximately SEK 800 million, of which NCC’s share is worth approximately SEK 400 million. The assignment pertains to the first of three data centers planned for the area.

NCC risks damages for competition infringement in Norway - The Norwegian Competition Authority has issued a preliminary ruling to the effect that NCC will have to pay competition infringement damages corresponding to approximately SEK 200 million. The alleged infringements pertain to asphalt paving work in two areas. NCC considers that the amount of damages is excessive, but admits to a number of circumstances.

NCC commences construction of Torsplan in the new Hagastaden city district in Stockholm - On Tuesday, October 11, NCC will commence construction of the Torsplan project on a proprietary basis. The project is situated in the new Hagastaden city district in Stockholm. The property will comprise a total of 30,000 square meters of leasable office and retail space. The cost of the construction contract will be registered among orders in the third quarter of 2011.

NCC to renovate three schools in Finland for SEK 440 million - NCC Construction Finland has signed an agreement with the city of Espoo for the renovation of three schools in Espoo and to assume responsibility for the maintenance of the schools and property services for 25 years. This is a “lifecycle project” that is valued at a total of approximately SEK 735 million, of which renovation services account for about SEK 440 million, and will be registered in the third quarter of 2011.
